Using Soap Nuts Is Easy
|
| |
Tidbit® carries soap nuts known as Sapindus Mukorossi, which is the larger soap nut (North India, Nepal) known for its higher saponin content.
These instructions are based on an average load: use more or less soap nuts according to size of load, water type, and how dirty etc... Don`t over stuff washer ~ Allow soap nuts to circulate!

Warm/Hot Water Wash Drop 3-5 whole shells (or pieces equivalent) in cotton wash sack (provided) and toss the bag of soap nuts in with your laundry and let the washer do the rest. Remove bag after all cycles are done. Hang bag and shells to dry.
Cold Water Wash Drop 3-5 whole shells (or pieces equivalent) in cotton wash sack (provided) - set bag in bowl of HOT water for a few minutes to release saponin. Then pour water and bag in with your laundry and wash as usual. Remove bag after all cycles are done. Hang bag and shells to dry.
Re-use the same shells a few times.
Soap nuts are also natural softeners, no need for artificial fabric softeners.
Soap nuts contain NO bleach ~ for bright whites, use 1/2 cup lemon juice. As always, for tough stains, pre-treat with stain remover.
Store soap nuts in a cool, dry place – away from sunlight.
